CONSTRUCTION PARADISE

Plastic, Mesh, Dirt, Sand, Wood…

Colors , Shapes, Graphic,

Welcome to my Construction Paradise.

I’ve never really looked for these images, they usually find me. I find that this takes longer.

Sometimes I walk past a construction site and see something that just begs to have its picture taken, something that stops me in my tracks. I’ve never had any real interest in construction, but I love looking at what’s going on.

One day as I was walking in Berlin, I passed a block with a succession of art galleries.

The first four were very easily identifiable as galleries, with photographs, paintings, and sculptures

visible through gigantic windows. The last gallery contained some sandbags, a saw, and

a few other pieces of construction equipment. The way the pieces where laying around on the floor,

you couldn’t tell if this was an installation, or a gallery under construction.

This is how I feel about the images I am showing.

Much of this work is, in a sense, collecting.

As many longterm projects go, this collection came together over a longer period of time. These images span the last four years.
